In February 2009 a team from the Belfast Operatic Company were invited to take part in an edition of Eggheads, The BBC2 T.V. Quiz and there efforts to beat the Egghead team was screened on 20th November 2009 at 6pm.  The team consisted of Richard Couser, Jane Mckee, Valerie Maxwell, Linda Hopley and Michael McDermott, with the sixth man Ian McMaster ( just in case anyone was not available).  The team acquited themselves very well, against the best in the land and came extremely close to beating the formidable Eggheads.  It certainly was an experience to be savoured and the entire trip to London was very worthwhile.  BOC heartily congratulate the team on their almighty effort!!
